Gateway AI in EDU Summit

In this opening keynote, Shawn McCusker challenges the dominant dystopian framing around AI and invites educators to step into their role as architects of a more intentional, human-centered AI future. Drawing on the Bill of Rights Institute's work at the intersection of civic understanding and critical thinking, this session reframes the conversation — from AI as threat to AI as a space where education's deepest values are either protected or abandoned.
