Can every child really get unlimited private tutoring, and does it really work? Yes and yes — but many products marketed as AI Tutors are really just chatbots, suffer from hallucinations, have unacceptable privacy issues, or are pedagogically ineffective. Participants work through an evergreen framework for evaluating AI Tutors across privacy, pedagogy, cultural responsiveness, and ELL considerations — this year and into the future.

Participants explore how a real business law lesson used AI to transform dense legal terms and conditions into language high school students could actually understand and connect with. Attendees examine student work samples, attempt a condensed version of the activity, and discuss how a similar approach could be adapted for their own subject area. A replicable lesson framework, ready-to-use AI prompts, and a student-facing activity guide are included.
