Welcome to the 2nd Gateway AI in EDU Summit!

──────────────────────────────
THE DETAILS
──────────────────────────────
July 23rd, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Gateway Regional High School, 775 Tanyard Road, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097

BUILD YOUR SCHEDULE ASAP
──────────────────────────────
We're 10 days out, and a good number of you still haven't logged into Sched to select your sessions. This matters more than it might seem; we're finalizing room assignments and materials counts off of what you choose, so an incomplete schedule on your end means we're planning blind for you. We've also had a few shifts in sessions, might be worth another look if you built yours a while ago.

Look for the invite from Sched in your inbox, log in, and build out all three breakout rounds plus your Sponsor Spotlight pick. It takes five minutes. If you're having trouble logging in, first, try logging in with Google, if your school does that. If not or if it doesn't work, email me directly and I'll get you sorted super fast.

CHECK-IN, SWAG, AND RAFFLES
──────────────────────────────

We're checking in via the QR code on your Sched profile this year, so make sure you're logged in and have it pulled up on your device or print it out ahead of time and bring it with you. We're skipping nametags this year so we can put more money into snacks (you're welcome!). Everyone will get a tote bag for swag and our closing session will include raffles, so stick around.

DON'T MISS THE SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT
──────────────────────────────
The session just before lunch is your one chance to connect directly with the sponsors making this day possible and see their tools in action. You choose one demo to attend, so scan the options in Sched now and plan ahead.

LUNCH & REFRESHMENTS
──────────────────────────────
Lunch will be catered by Thyme Kitchen, with a refreshment bar courtesy of Inclusion Coffee Shop. The planned general menu for lunch is attached and is subject to change. (The dietary menu is coming. I'll send it to those folks soon!)

Water filling stations are available throughout the building. Bring your favorite bottle!

A dietary update: our catering partner is a small local business and is not halal-certified, so we're not able to offer halal options this year. Common-allergen-free, vegan, and gluten-free meals will be available and individually labeled based on the dietary requests you made during registration. If your dietary needs have changed, or you didn't get a chance to note them at registration, please email me directly so we can update your order. If you have very specific needs, you are welcome to bring your own lunch; we'll refrigerate it for you.

──────────────────────────────
PARKING & GETTING HERE
──────────────────────────────
Parking at Gateway Regional can fill up quickly, and we want everyone to arrive relaxed. Carpool if you can. If it's easier, meet up with colleagues at one of our elementary school lots — National Park, Westville, or Woodbury Heights Elementary — and head over together. You can park in any spot on both sides of the building or in the painted-off grassy areas. We will have student volunteers ready to help you find your rooms.

──────────────────────────────
EVERY COUNTY REPRESENTED
──────────────────────────────
We are proud to say every single county in New Jersey is represented at this summit. If your plans have changed and you can no longer join us, please email me at [email protected] so we can open your seat to someone else. Every seat matters.

As people's plans shift, a very limited number of seats do open up here and there. If you know someone who'd love to join us, have them email me directly at [email protected] and I'll let them know if a spot becomes available.

We've created an "I'm Attending" image you're welcome to share. Here's a sample blurb:
"Proud to be part of the Gateway AI in EDU Summit 2026. One day, hundreds of educators, and conversations that actually move the needle. See you July 23rd. summit26.gateway4learning.us"

PRESENTERS — A FEW THINGS FOR YOU
──────────────────────────────
If you're presenting on July 23rd, please log into Sched to upload your slides or session materials, and take a look at who's registered for your session so you know your audience going in.

Please bring your own device and any adapters you'll need to connect to the room's display. We won't have loaner equipment on hand, so double-check your cables before you leave the house that morning. Student volunteers and our technology staff will be present to support you throughout the day.

──────────────────────────────
A FEW REMINDERS
──────────────────────────────

  • WiFi: Available throughout the building for all attendees.
  • Photos: We'll be taking photos throughout the day for our social media and recap content. Smile if you see a camera!
  • Feedback: Sched will prompt you for a quick survey after each session, plus a wrap-up survey at the end of the day. We read every response, so please take the minute to fill them out.
  • Day-of Contact: If something comes up the morning of and you can't reach me by email, call the school directly at 856-848-8200.
  • Accessibility: All sessions are on the first floor, no stairs required. Personal audio devices for hard-of-hearing attendees are available by request. Reach out with any additional needs.
  • Schedule: Subject to change before July 23rd. We'll keep you posted.
  • Dress in Layers: As is true for most schools, the temperature can vary from room to room. Bring a sweater.
  • Keeping It Real:  Gateway's a great school, but it's not the Ritz. Expect authentic classroom seating, lighting, and comforts!
  • Questions? Email me directly at [email protected]. I'm happy to help.
